Aer Lingus kicks off new partnership with Riverdance

#Traveltradetogether

As Official Airline Partner to Riverdance’s 30th anniversary tour, Aer Lingus will support Riverdance as they travel to destinations across North America including Boston, Toronto, New York, and Chicago.

Aer Lingus today celebrates a new partnership with the international phenomenon, Riverdance. As the Official Airline Partner of Riverdance’s 30th Anniversary Tour, Aer Lingus will support Riverdance as they perform across North America, the UK, and Ireland throughout 2025. The partnership brings together two iconic Irish brands to celebrate a significant milestone in Riverdance’s history.

Originally a seven-minute Eurovision interval act that dazzled TV audiences in 1994, Riverdance debuted in 1995 as a full-length musical and theatrical performance composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty, and directed by John McColgan. Thirty years later, Aer Lingus is proud to support Riverdance as it continues to captivate new audiences.

The 30-year anniversary celebrations continue throughout 2025 as the Riverdance – The New Generation tour gets underway. Riverdance will perform in 45 locations across the USA and Canada from January to June 2025, including key Aer Lingus gateways such as Boston, Toronto, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC.

Riverdance returns to Ireland for a 14-week run at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin this summer and will also perform 30 dates across the UK later in 2025, including London’s Hammersmith Apollo, Manchester Opera House, and Liverpool’s Empire Theatre, before wrapping up their anniversary year in Belfast.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said: “Riverdance has been connecting people around the world to Ireland’s heritage and culture for 30 years. As the Official Airline Partner of Riverdance’s 30th Anniversary Tour, Aer Lingus is proud to foster those connections. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of Riverdance performers onboard as they share the magic of Irish music, song and dance with new audiences in North America and beyond.”

Padraic Moyles, Riverdance Executive Producer, said: “Riverdance’s partnership with Aer Lingus brings together two iconic Irish brands, which are both dedicated to celebrating and sharing Irish culture with the world. We look forward to commemorating our  30th Anniversary  and are delighted to collaborate with Aer Lingus to bring Riverdance – The New Generation to  audiences  across North America, the UK, and Ireland.”

In 2025, Aer Lingus will fly to two new destinations – Indianapolis and Nashville – using its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft, bringing the number of transatlantic routes operated by the airline from Dublin, Shannon and Manchester to 24. As always, customers flying from Ireland to the United States with Aer Lingus can enjoy US preclearance in Dublin and Shannon airports.
