Las Vegas comes to town!

You’ve heard it said that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas….. Well, I’m not so sure. Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority were on a sales mission in Dublin yesterday April 9th and I was privy to much news and exciting updates from that most glitzy, spangly, sequinned and neon-lit resort on the planet! Las Vegas is neither shy nor retiring. This is a resort city smack in the middle of the desert in Nevada where its glamour can be seen from space. Our own Queen of Vegas, Tryphavana Cross, led the presentation last night together with Fletch Brunelle (Vice President Marketing LVCVA), Fernando Hurtado (Senior Director Global Sales LVCVA) and Neli Boldt (LVCVA) who apprised us of the endless amenities in Las Vegas.

Super talks and videos from the sales mission team included Robert from Waldorf Astoria, Al from Virgin Hotels, Melissa from Cirque du Soleil, Esther from MGV, Sarah from The Sphere, Mynor from Maverick Helicopter Rides, Wynn Group, Indigo, MGM Resorts, Aoife from United Airlines and more! My head was spinning from the stunning hotel suites, bars, restaurants, speakeasys, casinos, spa outlets, Tesla transfers and entertainment options on offer. Crazy Vegas just has so much with shopping, gambling and pure pleasure. It’s simply the order of the days and nights. How many worlds within this one ultra exciting resort? Even world acclaimed U2 had a fantastic run in The Sphere.

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Sales Mission was hugely attended and much appreciated by Irish Travel Agents with lots of information and plenty of exciting updates imparted. The Iveagh Garden Hotel was jammed and following a delicious dinner, prizes were awarded. Lucky winners were Bladhana Richardson (American Holidays), Linda Byrne (Killiney Travel) and fabulous top prize of return tickets on United Airlines, 4 nights at the Wynn, 2 Nights at the Waldorf Astoria and a Maverick Helicopter ride went to Sarah Fleming from Cassidy Travel. No one was a bit jealous. We’ll ask her all about her trip on return. But she might give us that old adage: What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Earlier in the Day Travelbiz Joined Tryphavana Cross (Director of Sales for (LCVA) in Ireland, H. Fletch Brunelle (Vice President of Marketing for (LVCVA) and Fernando Hurtado (Senior Director of Global Sales for (LVCVA) for a vibrant full on sales mission with key Irish Trade Partners who grasped the opportunity to hear all the very latest from wholesale partners from Las Vegas which included

MGM Resorts International, Resorts World Las Vegas ,Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Wynn Resorts, Cirque du Soleil, Sphere, Maverick Helicopters, Machine Guns Vegas, Virgin Hotels  Las Vegas and Indigo.
