Emirates Summer Soiree is a celebratory affair

#Travelbizconnect #Traveltradetogether

Jacinta from Travelbiz attended Emirates Summer Soiree in Baraza, on Dublin’s Ormond Quay, on Thursday August 24th. Anita Thomas, Emirates’ recently appointed Country Manager for Ireland is now at the helm, aided and abetted by her very able team. Anita offered a warm welcome to her guests and between celebrating her own appointment and extending huge gratitude to trade partners for their support, it was a night of great fun and joyous revelry! Anita paid tribute to her tight team of seven and introduced them with individual praise and remarks on their respective talents, hard work and can-do attitude. Anita went on to say how proud she was of how her team gelled and how they were dedicated and committed and happy to help in every way possible. Invited guests and trade agreed! The Emirates team:

Lisa Rabbitte (Account Manager)

Olwyn Mc Glynn (Sales Support)

Fillippo Rocchi (Account Manager)

Erika Mansfield (Sales Support)

Sara-Jane Walsh ((Sales Support)

Lofti Temini (Sales Support)

Jennied Guzman (recently promoted to a new role in HQ in Dubai to start in September)

Dublin was bathed in late summer sunshine and not a sign of those pesky scudding clouds for a change! Virtually overlooking the Hal’penny Bridge, river views were lovely and Anita’s stunning yellow dress was like a burst of sunshine on this happy occasion. There was huge turn-out from the trade last night to mark one of Emirates busiest summers ever. The return to double daily rotation and passenger figures rising to pre-pandemic levels is all positive and even forward booking trends showing no sign of abating. So, it’s onwards and upwards for Emirates, the world’s largest international airline. It’s also very reassuring to note that Emirates champion women in business.

Plenty of networking and a few cheeky cocktails and canapes added to the celebratory mood. Kevin from Trailfinders won the raffle top prize (business class tickets to Dubai plus 2 nights accomm. at Jumeirah Zabeel). Other winners on the night were Oscar Travel, Club Travel and Click&Go.

But the focus of the night was all about giving thanks for support received from the trade and a promise to continue good service. It was also a big congratulations to Anita Thomas, Country Manager for Ireland. Thank you also to Emirates for a great evening!
