Royal Caribbean’s Jewel sparkles in Cobh

#Traveltradetogether

Jennifer Callister (Head of Ireland Royal Caribbean) and Michelle Ryan (Sales Development Manger Ireland for Royal Caribbean) invited Don Shearer (Travelbiz) along with trade and media partners from the Cork region to visit Royal’s Jewel of the Seas in picturesque Cobh.

Trade partners on the day included the Team from TUI Travel Shops in Cork, Travel Counsellors from the region, Barters Travelnet, Shandon Travel and leading journalists from local and national publications.

Jewel of the Seas is heading towards her 20th birthday and went through a total refurb in 2017, offering a more intimate cruise experience accommodating 2,700 passengers with 850 crew members. Jewel had just sailed from Amsterdam across the British Ilses including Scotland, Liverpool and Northern Ireland en route to Cobh in County Cork where she was greeted by glorious Irish sunshine!

The Jewel of the seas has twelve decks with 848 outside cabins and 249 inside cabins. She is one of the smaller Royal ships within the 28 strong RCI fleet which enables Royal to offer more choice for cruisers wishing to cruise in Northern Europe, New England and Canada with access to the smaller ports. Jewel of the seas also offers shorter cruise itineraries in the Caribbean as we move into the winter period in Europe.

Jewel of the Seas has two outdoor pools and spa, casino, speciality eating options along with the very popular windjammer which is the “go-to” restaurant on all Royal Caribbean cruise ships. Entertainment wise Jewel of the seas offers passenger numerous options with the Coral Theatre, Schooner Bar, The Safari Club, Casino Royale, Viking Crown Lounge and Vortex Night Club.

Travelbiz had a great day of Jewel of the seas and would like to thank Jennifer and Michelle and all the Royal Caribbean crew for their hospitality and opportunity to experience this lady of the seas with fellow media and trade partners.
