Welcome to America’s Walking city

#Meetboston #Travelbizconnect #Traveltradetogether

Travelbiz continues its journey with Meet Boston and Irish Trade partners.

Take the “T” take a walk and explore more in Boston.

One of the things that makes Boston a great destination is the ease of walking to all the main attractions and shopping thoroughfares. you can stroll the city’s sidewalks, wander its abundance of green parks, or just people-watch at one of the many outdoor cafés.

You can also plot your way around the city by using Boston’s public transportation system, operated by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), but locals know it simply as the “T”. It offers subway, bus, trolley car and boat service to just about everywhere in the Greater Boston area and beyond. Subway stops are colour coded – Red Line, Green Line, Blue Line, Orange Line or Silver Line.

Another thing that is so obvious when exploring the city is how clean and safe it is no matter what time of the day or night your exploring shoes bring you. Our base on Seaport Boulevard was a very easy 10-minute walk across the Moakley bridge which leads you directly to the greater Downtown Area., or you can head down toward the boardwalk towards the marina area and take in all the views along the Charles River.

You will discover Boston’s vibrant culture while strolling historic streets through diverse neighbourhoods. The unique personality of each neighbourhood can be found in the cuisine of the restaurants and in the style of the shops, galleries and open markets and above all, in its people.

Our first night in the city ended with a game of Ping Pong, fine food and great fun in SPIN Boston. SPIN is the original ping pong social club which you can book in advance or simply walk in and have a beer and eats in a real fun totally interactive environment. There are numerous interactive bars in Boston including Ping Pong, Darts, Pool and endless wine and beer gardens.
