TIGS Summer Sizzler and BBQ – 21 July 2023 Castleknock

TIGS Summer Sizzler Golf & BBQ Outing (a bit of a misnomer in the current weather) was held at Castleknock Golf Club on Friday, generously sponsored by Dave Smith from TUI who also provided a very welcome drink (and respite from the rain) on the 9th.

The wet conditions didn’t dampen spirits and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.    Following golf the valiant finishers retired to the club house for a delicious BBQ dinner.   Thanks to all the members who came out to play despite the ‘soft day’ and congratulations to all the winners.

This closely contested competition resulted in 3 teams all with 94 points and a countback was necessary to decide the winners.

A big thank you to committee member Des Abbott for organising the Outing at Castleknock.

The next Outing will be President’s Day (Con Horgan) in Royal Dublin on Thursday 14th September.   It will be Con’s swansong as he steps down as President and a big turnout is expected.
