Irish hospitality business wins Hotel of the year in England

Titanic Hotel Liverpool which is owned by Irish firm Harcourt Developments, wins top travel award.

5% of visitors per year to the hotel come from Ireland.

From urban retreats to fairytale castles, the Harcourt Collection comprises of seven landmark hotels spread across Ireland, the UK and the Caribbean.

Their UK hotel, Titanic Hotel Liverpool, a sister hotel of the 5-star Lough Eske Castle, Redcastle Oceanside Golf and Spa Hotel, Titanic Hotel Belfast and the luxury 5-star Caribbean resort, Carlisle Bay, has been awarded ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Recognising excellence across the country’s tourism industry and celebrating innovation, quality and best practices, the annual awards took place at Warner Bros Studio Tour London, where gold, silver and bronze winners were announced. Among the 20 categories was Large Hotel of the Year, of which Titanic Hotel Liverpool was triumphant against two other shortlisted hotels.

Speaking about Titanic Hotel Liverpool award for Large Hotel of the Year, Clement Gaffney Group Operations Manager of the Harcourt Hotel Collection said; “We are very honoured to be crowned ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at the prestigious VisitEngland Awards. This accolade is a recognition of excellence across the country’s tourism industry”.

The nationally acclaimed award comes after Titanic Hotel was crowned Large Hotel of the Year for a consecutive year at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards in March.

The team at the hotel are hoping this award will further put Titanic Hotel Liverpool on the map to Irish tourists as a must-visit when in Liverpool and look forward to welcoming more Irish visitors in the near future.
