Lanzarote Premium Event

#Traveltradetogether

Travelbiz Reporter Marian Benton ventured to the luscious gardens of the Spanish Ambassador’s residence in leafy Ailesbury Road, Dublin to learn about Lanzarote Premium.    The sun shone on a delightful outdoor event hosted by Mr. Eduardo Sanchez, the Charge d’affaires at the Spanish Embassy, Food & Wine Magazine, Turismo Lanzarote and of course, Rubin López-Pulido (Director Spanish Tourism Office Dublin) together with his colleagues Kathryn and Sara.

Media and travel trade were informed of Lanzarote’s sustainable development policies and how the visionary spirit of César Manrique lives on in the much-envied exclusivity of the island.   Agreements have been reached with more than 20 service providers in the tourism value chain to curate a set of unique experiences and value.

Enda O’Coineen (President and Founder of LIN (Lanzarote Ireland Network)) spoke of the local Irish community and the strong ties between Ireland and Lanzarote and its popularity amongst Irish visitors.

Wine, tapas style canapes and freshly cut serrano ham were enjoyed in the beautiful gardens which everyone was reluctant to leave.

There was a competition for a fantastic trip of 5 nights in the fabulous 5-star Lava Beach Hotel located on the beach in Puerto del Carmen with accompanying flights.    The lucky winners (team effort!) were Mary Denton (Sunway Holidays), Des Abbot (Des Abbot Travel), Dave Smith (TUI) and Niall McDonnell (Killiney Travel).  They promptly and very generously donated the prize to be used for the benefit of Robbie Smart’s family.
