Team Etihad thanks the trade for 15 years of great support

#Traveltradetogether

July of 2022 Etihad celebrated 15 years of trade partner support in Ireland.

“You have choices in a very competitive market, and we thank you for your amazing support over the past 15 years in Ireland”, said Martin Drew (Senior Vice President Cargo & Sales Etihad) on behalf of team Etihad in Ireland in the Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge last week as we celebrated with trade partners 15 years of Etihad connecting Ireland with the UAE and beyond.

Travelbiz took the opportunity to catch up with Martin earlier in the day, proceedings to get an insight into Etihad’s plans for the future and achievements over the past 15 years operating from Dublin.

Martin said, “Operating from Dublin over the past 15 years and seeing our business grow with new trade partner relationships on the island of Ireland has been one of our great success stories for the airline in both passenger sales and cargo focused elements of our business. We appreciate the great support we have received from the trade over the years and are all too aware that our space is a highly competitive one with choice on a number of key hubs. We value the relationships that the team in Ireland have developed and nurtured over the past 15 years and see that partnership strengthening as we get back to a daily service from Dublin to Abu Dhabi and beyond with the youngest fleet of eco friendly aircraft in the air”.

The sustainability piece is a key driver for Etihad and was endorsed recently with their recognition as the Environmental Airline of the year award in the annual Airline Ratings awards. The ranking recognises Etihad’s industry-leading strategy to improve aviation sustainability for both the airline itself and the entire industry.

Consistency of product and service is key for Martin and the trade focused element was recognised at the 15 years of operating from Dublin celebrations where the contribution made by previous team members in Ireland namely, Karen Maloney, Shannon and Teresa and todays team of Jason and Alex will continue to deliver that consistency service and product on the ground and in the air.
