Aer Lingus’ non-stop Manchester – Barbados service took to the skies this week, marking the restart of the carrier’s popular seasonal service to the Caribbean.

The carrier launched its inaugural transatlantic service from Manchester to Barbados in October last year, marked by the departure of the first EI31 flight. Aer Lingus entering the transatlantic market from Manchester was effectively a new concept for the North of England.

Now customers are able to enjoy the high-quality, friendly Aer Lingus service that the airline is known for, with the added convenience of a new non-stop route to the popular Caribbean island.

A year later, the route continues to attract British winter sun holidaymakers thanks to its three times a week service, flying direct from Manchester from 2 November until 30 April, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Customers can enjoy fantastic fares from Manchester to Barbados from as little as £245 each way including taxes and charges.

Susanne Carberry (Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer) said: “We’re excited to be restarting flights to the Caribbean again this November direct from Manchester, taking advantage of customer demand for winter sun. The service which was introduced just over a year ago has been successful, leading to the route recommencing this November again”.

“Customers can enjoy a warm welcome with Aer Lingus as we continue to attract strong demand for our direct transatlantic service from the UK to Barbados, ideal for those keen to soak up some sun this winter and we’re looking forward to welcoming sun-seekers onboard”.

“Moving into our second year of operations from Manchester we are very much focused on offering the best value for our UK customers on flights to the Caribbean and US from the North of England, including our services to New York, JFK and Orlando”.

Those looking to escape for some winter sun can take to the beaches of Barbados and experience the famous ‘Final Sunset’ celebrations in Bridgetown, sip on a delicious Barbadian rum cocktail and enjoy the Caribbean’s amazing culture.

Aer Lingus operates its twin-isle Airbus A330-300 to Barbados, with customers able to enjoy a complimentary in-flight meal and free access to a world of entertainment, thanks to its state-of-the-art inflight entertainment service, featuring the latest blockbuster movies, box sets, games and much more.

Aer Lingus operates three direct non-stop routes from Manchester to Barbados, New York, and Orlando.

Aer Lingus’ ‘Book with Confidence’ policy gives customers added flexibility and enables them to change their travel dates free of charge, and as many times as they wish, up to two hours before their flight departs.
