YES Insurance Builds Momentum Across the Irish Travel Trade with Faster Quotes and New Revenue Opportunities for Agents

Growing agency partnerships, positive feedback and innovative trade tools continue to drive adoption of the YES Insurance travel proposition Dublin, Ireland.

YES Insurance is continuing to build strong momentum across the Irish travel trade sector, with a growing number of travel agents adopting the company’s travel insurance proposition and praising its ease of use, competitive pricing and agent-focused features.

As YES Insurance continues to onboard new agency partners nationwide, the company is introducing a range of enhancements designed specifically to help travel agents save time, increase conversion rates and generate additional commission opportunities.

Feedback from agents using the platform has been overwhelmingly positive.

One travel consultant recently commented: “I just issued a policy. Honestly, it’s a lovely site to use. The pricing compared to what we would normally sell is really good.”

Another agent added: “Have done a test quote now, and all seems to be working fine. Very easy system.”

Karen Maloney, Head of Business Development – Irish Travel Trade at YES Insurance, said: “The feedback we’ve received from agents has been extremely encouraging and I’d like to sincerely thank the travel agents who have placed their trust in YES Insurance as we continue to grow our travel trade proposition. We understand that recommending a new insurance provider is a significant decision and we’re committed to delivering the service, support and value that our partners expect.”

“What’s particularly pleasing is that agents are telling us the system is easy to use, the pricing is competitive and the customer journey is straightforward. These are all areas we have focused heavily on as we’ve built our travel trade proposition.”

Faster Quotes, Less Administration

One of the latest enhancements introduced by YES Insurance is a simplified quotation process designed specifically around the needs of busy travel consultants.

Rather than entering the age or date of birth of every traveller during the quotation stage, agents simply select the number of travellers within each age category to generate an instant quote.

This significantly reduces data entry requirements, speeds up the quotation process and removes the need to gather age information during initial customer conversations.

Karen commented: “Travel agents are busy. Anything that helps them quote faster and spend more time advising customers is a win. By removing unnecessary data entry at the quotation stage, we’ve made the process quicker and more efficient while maintaining accurate pricing.”

“It’s a simple idea, but one that agents immediately understand and appreciate because it saves time every single day.”

Turning Insurance into a Revenue Opportunity

YES Insurance has also introduced several features designed to help travel agents generate additional commission income while delivering greater value to customers.

A key enhancement is the company’s flexible medical screening solution, which gives agents multiple ways to support customers with pre-existing medical conditions.

Agents can complete screenings directly with customers, send a screening link while the customer is in-store, email a link for completion at home or direct customers to dedicated support services.

Where handled in-store, agents earn €7.50 per person screened, creating an immediate additional revenue opportunity.

Karen added: “Medical screening can often be seen as a challenge, but we’ve worked hard to turn it into an opportunity for agents. The process is simple, flexible and ensures customers can access the cover they need while agents are rewarded for the additional service they provide.”

Car Hire Excess Insurance

YES Insurance has also launched Car Hire Excess Insurance as an exclusive add-on available through its travel trade proposition.

The cover can be arranged before departure, helping customers avoid potentially expensive insurance purchases at overseas rental desks and protecting them against significant excess charges in the event of damage or theft.

Karen said: “Nobody likes arriving at their destination only to be faced with expensive insurance options at the car hire desk. By offering Car Hire Excess Insurance at the point of booking, agents can provide genuine value to customers while creating another commission opportunity for their business.”

“It’s a simple add-on that customers immediately understand because it solves a real problem and gives them additional peace of mind before they travel.”

Supporting Travel Agents Every Step of the Way

YES Insurance continues to invest in products, technology and support services designed specifically for the travel trade.

The company recently confirmed that travel insurance cover remains available for customers transiting through major UAE hubs, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, providing additional reassurance for agents booking long-haul itineraries.

Karen added: “Travel agents want confidence that they are recommending products backed by strong support, competitive cover and a partner that understands their business. That’s exactly what we are focused on delivering.”

“We see travel agents as long-term partners and remain committed to investing in solutions that help them grow their business, improve the customer experience and increase revenue opportunities.”

Looking Ahead

With further agency partnerships currently being onboarded and continued investment planned across technology, products and trade support, YES Insurance believes there is significant opportunity to continue growing its presence within the Irish travel trade sector.

Karen concluded: “Our ambition is simple. We want to make travel insurance easier for agents to sell, easier for customers to buy and more rewarding for agencies to offer. The response so far has been incredibly positive and we’re excited about continuing to build strong relationships with travel agents across Ireland.”
