USA Summer Soirée in The Shelbourne
A wonderful evening of networking, camaraderie and craic organised by Travelmedia on July 9th was thoroughly enjoyed by a host of travel agents, airline personnel and media.
A huge Travelbiz thank you to our valued partners and hosts Julie, Keith, James, Chris and Rasheeda representing Visit Annapolis, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and last, but by no means least, Mr Declan Power and Isabel Harrisson from Shannon Airport.
His Excellency, Edward Walsh, US Ambassador to Ireland spoke passionately about his role here and vowed his support to the travel trade to continue their efforts in driving business across the pond. Celebrating a whopping 250th Birthday and Aer Lingus celebrating their 90th Birthday, the atmosphere was electric. Jenny Rafter spoke eloquently and was flanked by Aer Lingus hostesses in uniforms dating back over the years.
Eoin Mc Gloughlin gave us the amazing statistics from Dublin Airport with promises that DAA will continue their efforts to ensure smooth and efficient running of the airport. Imagine 38 million passengers were handled!
Jackie Ennis (VP Brand USA), Brandon Davis (Air Transat), Sophie Amos (Visit Pittsburgh) and ever popular Grant Daley all spoke with positive tidings and news of upcoming openings and excitement.
The balmy night air was filled with laughter and chatter; deals were done; promises were made, then the good boys and girls went home. Not sure where the naughty ones went…. Well done Michael Collins and team Travelmedia.
