Riviera Rhapsody Joins Riviera Travel’s Fleet
Riviera Travel has revealed the name of its newest river cruise ship, Riviera Rhapsody, which will become the latest addition to the brand’s premium Radiance Class fleet.
Set to enter service in April 2028, Riviera Rhapsody will make her maiden sailing on 1 April 2028, commencing with the Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam & The Dutch Bulbfields itinerary on the iconic Dutch Waterways. Bookings will open for the new ship later this year.

During her inaugural season, Riviera Rhapsody will then move over to the Rhine, sailing a selection of Riviera’s most popular river cruise itineraries, including Rhine Cruise to Switzerland and the shorter-duration taster itinerary, Rhine Gorge & Cologne Discovery River Cruise.

Riviera Rhapsody will join Riviera Radiance, Riviera Resplendence and Riviera Reflection as a sister ship in the newest class of ship, sharing the same modern design, comfortable interiors, and relaxed onboard ambience the class has become known for.

The name Rhapsody, meaning ‘an enthusiastic expression of feeling’ was chosen to reflect the way guests experience Riviera’s cruises on Europe’s great rivers.
Will Sarson, Product Director at Riviera Travel, comments: “The continued expansion of our fleet reflects our long-term commitment to investing in modern ships, purpose-built for Riviera. Riviera Rhapsody will offer guests the same blend of comfort and style, allowing them to enjoy the very best of Europe’s beautiful rivers.”
