Ciaran Mulligan Launches Yes Insurance
Former Insurance Entrepreneur launches new insurance company whose focus is on care for customers.
Ciaran Mulligan, former owner and co-founder of Blue Insurance which was sold in 2018, has launched a new insurance company, Yes Insurance, into the Irish market. The company has just launched travel insurance but will soon also launch other specialist niche insurance products such as car hire excess, gadget insurance, pet insurance, wedding insurance and electric bike insurance.

Mulligan said that “he aims to offer very competitive prices to consumers starting off with Annual Travel Insurance from only €14.99 at Yesinsurance.ie. Consumers who hire cars on holidays can also now add Car Hire Excess Cover as part of their travel insurance policy and our highest cover, ‘Ultra’, will automatically include winter-sports, trip disruption and will have zero excess in the event of a claim. Our focus is to look after our customers by answering ‘Yes’ rather a ‘No’ to their requests”.

Mulligan added, “We will be the first in the market to offer a No Claims Bonus on all our insurance products rewarding loyalty to our customers. If you don’t claim on your policy, you will receive a discount, so all existing customers should be able to get their renewal even cheaper than new customers. This loyalty seems to be missing in the market, and we want customers to know we value their business and will reward them for their loyalty”.
Shane Kinahan, CEO of Yes Insurance said “We will be launching our standalone car hire excess insurance in the coming weeks offering further value to Irish customers who normally get overcharged at car rental desks abroad. Yes Insurance will also be introducing AI features that will help scan your rental vehicle and highlight any damage before you leave the rental company for your holiday.
Yes Insurance is the number one provider of gadget insurance in Ireland within the educational sector. Yes Insurance currently provides gadget insurance for tablets and laptops for schools through their partnership with Wriggle and other providers. The plan will be to roll out gadget insurance into the educational sector in UK in the near future.
