Dublin Airport unveils upgraded 51st & Green lounge and new Phoenix Lounge

Dublin Airport has announced the long-awaited re-opening of one of its most popular airside passenger lounges, alongside the opening of a new lounge in Terminal 1.

The enhancements are part of a multi-million euro investment by airport operator daa and represent yet another significant improvement to the passenger experience at Dublin Airport.

The airport’s hugely popular 51st & Green Lounge, which is available to passengers travelling to North America from Terminal 2, will be the first to re-open on Tuesday, 31 March following a major overhaul and expansion.

Phoenix – Bar Area

Meanwhile, the airport’s new Phoenix Lounge, a 300+ seat lounge in Terminal 1, will be available to book online from Thursday, 16 April. The new Phoenix Lounge offers passengers double the number of seats and triple the number of food and drink options compared to what was available in the old “T1 Lounge”.

51st & Green – Central Bar unit

Both lounges will serve hot food options, with a focus on fresh local produce throughout the menus, and draught Guinness on tap, as well as other popular beers, wines, cocktails and spirits.

The opening of the new 51st & Green and Phoenix lounges completes the full overhaul of Dublin Airport’s lounges, complementing the Martello and Liffey lounges, which were re-opened last year following refurbishment and rebranding.

Ronan Fitzsimons, Commercial Director at Dublin Airport, said: “Demand for airport lounges at Dublin Airport has never been stronger, so we’ve invested heavily to create more space, more choice and a much better experience for passengers. From expanded seating to improved food and drink options – including a pint of Guinness on tap – we’re confident these upgraded lounges will give travellers the perfect place to relax before their flight”.
