The lunch provided an excellent opportunity for the American Airlines team to update partners on the airline’s continued investment in customer experience, product innovation and network growth as the carrier celebrates its centennial year in 2026.

American Airlines shared details of a number of exciting developments including the rollout of its new Flagship Suite® premium product, which will feature on new Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A321XLR aircraft as well as retrofitted long-haul aircraft. The new suite includes privacy doors, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity and large 4K QLED screens, enhancing the airline’s premium long-haul offering.

Partners also heard about the airline’s continued investment in airport lounges and customer experience, with new and upgraded Flagship® Lounges and Admirals Club® locations across major hubs including Philadelphia, Miami, Charlotte and Chicago. These developments further strengthen American Airlines’ premium offering for international travellers.

The airline highlighted several new service enhancements including free high-speed Wi-Fi for AAdvantage members on equipped aircraft, expanded premium amenities such as new Raven + Lily amenity kits with Joanna Vargas skincare products, Lavazza coffee across lounges and inflight service, and the introduction of Champagne Bollinger in Flagship lounges and business cabins.

Network developments were also discussed, including the introduction of the Airbus A321XLR aircraft, with the first route launching between Edinburgh and New York JFK in March 2026, and future plans for expansion in Europe including proposed service between Philadelphia and Porto from 2027 (subject to approval).

American Airlines also outlined how customers will benefit from One Stop Security connections through London Heathrow from Dallas Fort Worth, making onward international connections smoother.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026™ across the USA, Canada and Mexico approaching, American Airlines also confirmed its role as an official air travel partner in collaboration with Qatar Airways, positioning the airline strongly for inbound travel demand.

The lunch concluded with American Airlines reaffirming its commitment to the Irish trade market and strengthening partnerships with agents and tour operators across Ireland.
