What’s new in South Africa for 2026?
Jacinta from Travelbiz attended a lovely lunch for South African Tourism UK in Dublin’s Sole Restaurant, hosted by her Excellency, Nicolette Schrieber, to learn of the exciting openings and innovations planned for the coming year.

2026 marks a defining year for the country, often described as a continent in one country. From Kruger National Park (its 100th anniversary) to luxury openings in Cape Town and the Winelands to amazing safari lodges, coastal escapes and colourful cultural attractions.

Private Game Reserves, ultra-modern hotels, beach safaris, eco-luxury retreat, vibrant local city markets, shopping and lifestyle destinations and even stunning golf courses, South Africa offers it all.

Truly, this beautiful, energetic and versatile country provides unique experiences and opportunities to meld with local life and enjoy never to be forgotten holidays. If you’ve never travelled there, South Africa itself is never to be forgotten. If you’ve been lucky enough to experience the country, you’ll know what I mean….
