Cox & Kings Launches Extensive New Tailor-Made Portfolio

Unveiled in Cox & Kings’ new 2026/27 tailor-made brochure, this expanded collection introduces 38 new routes across Canada and the USA. It marks a significant step in the tour operator’s global growth, adding more than 50 new tailor-made journeys to its worldwide portfolio.

Cox & Kings, the world’s oldest travel company, has launched over 50 new tailor-made itineraries including a programme of 38 exploring Canada and the USA. This is part of the tour operator’s continued expansion as it extends its ethos of cultural discovery, expert insight and exceptional service into new destinations and markets. With this extensive product development, Cox & Kings has also released its first ever brochure dedicated to tailor-made travel, featuring a selection of inspiring suggested routes from across the full collection.

North America remains one of the top 10 destinations for the UK market with travellers captivated by the dramatic landscapes and rich cultural history. The expansion reflects this demand, launching a variety of tours across both Canada and the USA, from scenic wilderness to iconic cities, combining rail and self-drive with unique guiding and signature experiences.

Canada was the number one destination Cox & Kings’ clients would most like to see the tour operator offer, when surveyed in 2025, emerging as one of the top places to visit in 2026 as tourism exceeds pre-pandemic levels. Featuring rugged natural beauty, cultural vitality and cross-continental rail journeys, the 19 new Canada itineraries explore the breadth of the country, from the western wonders of British Columbia to the maritime treasures of Nova Scotia in the east. Offering world-renowned cities, vast national parks and landmark cultural attractions, the USA remains a favourite for those seeking variety and adventure. The 19 new tailor-made USA itineraries give travellers the opportunity to discover the country’s distinctive regions and unforgettable routes.

Alongside Canada and the USA, 13 additional new tours explore destinations across the world, from the coastal kingdoms of West Africa and the temples of Tamil Nadu to the crossroads of the Caucasus and salt flats of Bolivia. All the new product has been crafted by Cox & Kings’ specialists, ensuring a high-quality service throughout, delivering immersive experiences that focuses on authentic travel for the culturally curious.

“Our new collection of tailor-made itineraries reflects Cox & Kings’ enduring commitment to authentic, immersive travel,” says Jennifer Charlton, Managing Director of Cox & Kings. “Whether it’s exploring the vast landscapes of Canada, tracing historic routes by rail, or discovering cultural treasures around the world, each journey is designed to connect our travellers deeply with the destinations. This expansion forms an important part of our wider global growth, bringing our expertise, signature experiences and tailored service to new markets.”

The Great Outdoors

Wildlife and nature continue to grow as key priorities for many travellers, emerging as the number one experience that most interests Cox & Kings’ clients. This priority reflects a broader desire for immersive travel that fosters a deeper connection with the environment.

Rail

Rail travel has fully established itself as a key trend, driven by a greater concern for climate conscious travel, enthusiasm for more immersive cultural experiences and the appealing ease and charm of trains. The nostalgia of travelling by train has contributed to this growing appetite, linking to trends in slow travel and placing value in the journey as well as the destination. Demonstrating this, the Cox & Kings’ train journeys webpage has seen a 70% increase in traffic since Jan 2025 and so incorporating rail routes into the new itineraries was essential. In Canada and the USA, trains offer a unique vantage on the sweeping landscapes both countries feature, allowing efficient yet comfortable travel across great distances.

Its tailor-made itineraries immerse travellers in the history, traditions, and stories of each destination, from ancient cities and historic landmarks to local customs and culinary heritage. Every trip blends expert-guided exploration with authentic experiences, allowing travellers to connect deeply with the people, arts and heritage of a region.
