Week of Italian Cuisine in the World
H.E. Mr. Nicola Faganello, Ambassador of Italy to Ireland opened the tenth edition of the “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World”, organised by the Italian Irish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ireland, the Italian Institute of Culture, and ITA – Italian Trade Agency. The event was held in the beautiful Thomas Prior Hall Ballsbridge and was attended by Declan Mescall (Features Editor Travelbiz).

The spotlight was on the innovation and cultural heritage of Italian cuisine, explored through healthy, local recipes inspired by spontaneous wild herbs, naturally growing across the Italian and Irish landscapes.

From unique herbs to iconic vegetables like Radicchio di Treviso, we discovered how these ingredients embody Italy’s creativity, sustainability, and wellbeing.

A panel of distinguished Irish and Italian speakers discussed the nutritional and historical value of these spontaneous wild herbs, followed by an exclusive food and wine tasting — where guests savoured dishes prepared using the very ingredients presented during the discussion.

The event was a unique celebration of Italian culinary excellence – where nature meets innovation at the table.
