Riviera Travel Appoints Long Haul Touring Champion to Drive Growth

#Traveltradetogether

In It for the Long Haul: Lloyd Takes the Lead on Riviera’s Long-Term Touring Vision in Existing Trade Role.

Riviera Travel has appointed Lloyd Morris as its new Long Haul Champion, reinforcing the business’s strategic focus on long haul touring as a major growth area for the future, a responsibility he will fulfill as part of his existing role in trade. Lloyd joined Riviera at the beginning of 2024 as a Key Account Manager and will now support Christian Locke in his role as Head of Long Haul.

Lloyd takes on this new responsibility with immediate effect, in addition to his current role. Known for his energy, initiative and consistent delivery in the long haul space, Lloyd has already made a mark with his recent work alongside Linda Harris who is a Product Manager at the operator. He has showcased his ability to drive passion and momentum across the team.

In this new position, Lloyd will lead Riviera’s long haul touring across the trade team to ensure alignment, share insight, and drive activity that supports growth. He will take the lead on weekly long haul updates during Monday trading calls, bringing focus to key offers and areas of opportunity. Each month, he will also host a long haul review session in collaboration with the Product team to share market intelligence, product updates and new sales opportunities. In addition, Lloyd will represent the trade team in long haul focus groups with Phil Hullah (CEO), Will Sarson (Product Director) and Christian Locke (Head of Long Haul), and lead trade input into related workstreams including regional air development and TC strategy.

Lloyd will also serve as the primary point of contact for all long haul-related questions, ideas or opportunities, providing hands-on support to help the team grow this important segment. His appointment reflects Riviera’s continued investment in its people and its commitment to setting the team up for long-term success.

Vicky Billing, Director of Trade and Partnersships UK & Ireland commented: “Lloyd has consistently delivered in this space and brings real drive to everything he does. He has recently been working closely with Linda to drive business momentum and we’ve been really thrilled to see him stepping up in this role, and I know he’ll continue to make a real impact.”

Commenting on his new appointment, Lloyd said: “I’m really excited to take on this challenge and help drive long haul growth across touring and cruise. There’s so much potential in this area, and I’m looking forward to working with the wider team to unlock new opportunities, support the trade, and keep up the great momentum we’ve already started. It’s a space I’m passionate about, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

Billing added: “One of this team’s greatest strengths is how we combine healthy competition with genuine support for one another. As we double down on long haul touring, I know everyone will continue that spirit and give Lloyd their full support. We’re working on something big behind the scenes to make it easier than ever to do business with us. With Lloyd’s frontline experience in touring, he knows exactly what’s needed – and we’re building it. I’m also looking at other opportunities across the team for people to lead key initiatives so watch this space.”
