Expedia TAAP Empowers Irish Travel Advisors with New Tools to Boost Efficiency and Growth

#Traveltradetogether

Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) is proud to announce the launch of several new platform enhancements tailored to support Irish travel advisors. These updates are designed to streamline operations, enhance client service, and open up fresh revenue streams. Shaped directly by feedback from advisors globally, these enhancements introduce powerful tools that simplify trip management, expand payment options, and increase earning potential.

Key among these updates are expanded deferred payment capabilities, a new bank transfer payment option, and the broader rollout of the agency service charge feature. These improvements give advisors in Ireland more control over bookings, payment methods, and the ability to add value for their clients, ultimately facilitating business growth with confidence.

“Given that 45% of travelers have relied on advisors for most or all of their trips in the past year, the role of the travel advisor has never been more pivotal,” noted Robin Lawther, VP of Expedia TAAP. “Our latest tools are making a significant impact on advisor businesses worldwide, and we are committed to further enhancing our platform to ensure continued success and growth.”

Deferred Payment Enhancements:
Expedia TAAP has upgraded its popular “book now, pay later” feature with extended capabilities, allowing advisors in Ireland to defer payment for trips up to 365 days in advance (previously 280 days). This enhancement supports early-bird deals and clients planning well ahead, without the immediate need for payment, helping advisors manage cash flow effectively while delivering added value.

Additionally, the new Hard Change functionality enables advisors to make essential post-booking adjustments—like changing travel dates or room preferences—directly within the platform, eliminating the need for cancellations and saving valuable time.

Bank Transfer Payment Option:
Irish advisors now have the flexibility to pay for hotel bookings via bank transfer, providing a practical alternative to traditional payment methods. This enhancement is particularly beneficial in regions where card payments may be less convenient, ensuring advisors can manage bookings efficiently and cater to client preferences seamlessly.

Expanded Rollout of Agency Service Charge:
Building on early success, the agency service charge feature is now available in more than 20 markets, including Ireland. This feature empowers advisors to apply a service charge of up to 30% directly within the Expedia TAAP platform, acknowledging their expertise and personalized service. It’s a straightforward, flexible way for advisors to grow their business while delivering exceptional value to clients.
