United Airlines opens a new dining room at the United Polaris lounge, New York/Newark

#Traveltradetogether

More space and seating: The renovated dining room features nearly 60 seats, adding 10% more seats for lounge visitors and increasing the total lounge size to 30,000+ sq.-ft. From seating that accommodates solo travellers to tables for large groups, there’s a variety of options for all travellers to dine.

Premium dining and refreshment options: Travellers can order à la carte meals with curated premium food and beverages. Savour flavourful favourites like our Lump Crab Cakes and the beloved Polaris Signature Burger — now also available with an Impossible patty. Pair your meal with standout cocktails such as the United Polaris Star or the Classic Red Snapper Bloody Mary. United is the only major U.S. airline to offer à la carte dining options at Newark Liberty International Airport. Open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET daily, the United Polaris lounge is one of only three lounges at the airport that offer à la carte dining options.

Skyline views: The expanded dining room is located inside the United Polaris lounge in Terminal C and offers stunning views of the New York City skyline.

United is the world’s largest airline, as measured by available seat miles, with the most extensive international network, offering approximately 500 daily flights to and from 150 international destinations for travellers around the world. From New York/Newark this summer, United will be flying on average 98 international roundtrip flights per day. The airline offers the United Polaris business class experience on flights to 40 international destinations served out of Newark including Palermo, Italy; Bilbao, Spain; Faro, Portugal and more.

“We’re bringing an elevated dining experience to Newark with the opening of a larger dining room at our Polaris lounge,” said Aaron McMillan, United’s Managing Director, Hospitality Programmes. “Newark offers business class travellers ample opportunity to travel across the Atlantic, and we’re excited to offer them more room to dine before or after their long-haul flights. For years, we’ve been investing in our club and lounge portfolio at Newark, and it’s our first hub to fully reflect our new designs and amenities.”
