Aer Lingus returns to Seville

#Traveltradetogether

Jacinta from Travelbiz attended an event in Dublin’s Little Lemon restaurant to celebrate the welcome return of a 3 times weekly Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Seville. The winter series will commence on September 17th until mid May 2026 with direct flights to this stunning city. Of course, the Spanish Tourist Office in Dublin was thrilled to collaborate on the event with Sra Laura Pena (Director Spanish TO Dublin) warmly welcoming us.

Sr Antonio Martin from the Andalucian Tourist Board gave an impassioned speech about his love of Ireland and the amazing bonds which exist between our two countries. Antonio had even composed a very moving poem and exclaimed that the Irish were sure to be captivated by the charm of Andalucia. Living in Malaga but born in Seville, Antonio was the perfect person to lure us to Seville with its world class Cathedral, terrific tapas bars, flamenco, duende and super shopping. A lively video, colourful and atmospheric, asked us to surrender to the Andalucian crush! In fact, Antonio is so often in Ireland, he could easily be considered an Honorary Irishman!

Accompanied by her colleague Yvonne Muldoon, Jenny Rafter proudly gave her presentation and assured us that Aer Lingus is getting bigger and better and stepping up to the plate in terms of competition, offering value for money and delivering on its promises. Jenny thanked the trade for their ongoing support and spoke of her delight to partner with Antonio and the Andalucian Tourist Board.

A strong turnout from the trade ensured the event was a big success and Little Lemon served traditional tapas and excellent Rioja wines. Irish holidaymakers flock to Andalucia

year-round and, as Aer Lingus fly daily to Malaga (gateway to Costa del Sol), the area is well serviced from Ireland. Kathryn Mc Donnell and Sara Rivero from the Spanish Tourist Office Dublin were on hand with Laura Pena to further enhance the Aer Lingus Seville experience.

Lucky Deepak Jadoun from Click&Go carried off the lovely prize of return flights to Seville on the Aer Lingus direct service with 2 nights accommodation at the 5* Barcelo Sevilla Renacimiento. Congratulations!
