Turkish Airlines turns up the heat with extra summer flights

#Traveltradetogether

Turkish Airlines, the airline flying to more countries than any other, is ramping up its summer 2025 schedule with additional flights from the UK and Ireland to Istanbul and beyond.

Starting June 9, the flag carrier will operate 47 weekly flights from London Heathrow, adding two more flights per week to the vibrant city of Istanbul.

London Gatwick will see an increase from 26 to 28 weekly flights, while the Manchester-Istanbul route grows from 25 to 28 flights per week, offering four daily connections.

In Dublin, Turkish Airlines is increasing its 18 weekly flights to 21, providing three daily departures for Irish travellers.

Scotland also gets a summer boost, with Edinburgh–Istanbul services rising from 10 to 14 weekly flights.

Meanwhile, from June 10, Birmingham travellers will benefit from four additional weekly flights, increasing the total to 18 weekly services between the UK’s second city and Istanbul.

Commenting on the frequency increases, Harun Basturk, SVP Sales at Turkish Airlines, said: “Demand from holidaymakers in the UK and Ireland to visit Türkiye – with its rich culture, history, cuisine, hospitality, and stunning coastal resorts, remains strong year-round and peaks during the summer. We’re increasing capacity to meet this demand and offer more flexibility for travellers.”

He added that growing interest in destinations beyond Istanbul also contributed to the expansion: “As the airline that flies to more destinations than any other, our global network spans the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Oceania – all popular destinations for leisure travellers. Istanbul Airport’s status as the world’s most connected hub allows seamless onward connections from the UK and Ireland to Türkiye and beyond.”
