#Travelbizhub #Travelbizconnect #Huntingtonbeach #AerLingus #surfcityusa Aer Lingus Visit Huntington Beach

To promote Californian Surf City USA as a destination for Irish holidaymakers Visit Huntington Beach director of tourism development Sophia Valdiva hosted a Thanksgiving cocktail brunch in House, Leeson Street, Dublin for a select number from the travel trade and Travelbiz features editor Declan Mescall. Also in attendance was Mark Meredith (Rocket Marketing), Jenny Rafter and Ivan Beacom of Aer Lingus who operate flights from Dublin to nearby Los Angeles and San Francisco. We toasted the holidays with tasty bites washed down with a selection of mimosas, margaritas and Bloody Marys. It’s a difficult job I have but..

Huntington Beach is situated along the Southern California coast in Orange County, 56 kilometres south of Los Angeles and 152 kilometres north of San Diego and boasts 16 kilometres of uninterrupted coastline with warm mild temperatures and year-round sun.

Known worldwide as Surf City USA, it’s not surprising that surfing is one of the top attractions of this lovely coastal city which boasts five beaches. Other water sports include kayaking, fishing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Beach volleyball is also a popular activity as is cycling, horseback riding, hiking and beach bonfires. The city has a vast network of bike paths and skate parks that cater to riders of all levels. The beaches are renowned for being accessible to individuals with wheelchairs, buggies, walkers, canes and other assistive devices.

Beyond the beach the vibrant downtown boasts plenty of shops, unique boutiques, bars, breweries and restaurants as well as spas and centres for arts and culture. Sounds like Huntington Beach has it all.

Stay tuned to Travelbiz as we will be bringing more from Surf City USA
