United’s Mobile App Is Now Available Entirely In Spanish

With holiday travel right around the corner, United has rolled out its entire mobile app in Spanish – giving customers time-saving tools and features in their preferred language to help them save time and breeze through the airport.

Key highlights:

  • Customers can now fully access the app in Spanish, allowing them to check-in, get their boarding pass, receive automatic re-booking assistance with United’s self-service tools, and more. Plus, they can access real-time flight information in Spanish with Live Activities for iPhone and Apple Watch, including countdown to boarding, gate and seat numbers, as well as baggage carousel information.
  • The United app will automatically show up in Spanish for those who have their devices set to Spanish.
  • United began translating select app features to Spanish in June and since then, there’s been a significant uptick in Spanish-speaking travellers interacting with translated app content, including a 10% increase of Spanish-speaking travellers check-in prior to arriving at the airport.

This launch comes after United earlier this year added Spanish translations to airport digital signage on all flights departing the U.S. and arriving at Spanish-speaking international destinations, making navigation of the airport more seamless for travellers.
