Nan Short a true lady and Industry Legend

Very sad news this week as we lost one of our true Travel Industry legends, Nan Short. I had the great pleasure of knowing Nan from my early days working in Northern Ireland with Chieftain tours and American Holidays. Nan was always so supportive and a great help to me as she knew the industry and partners intimately which made my initial years calling on the trade a far easier task.

In later years I would always meet Nan for a coffee and chat and solve the problems of the universe. A true lady who always had a kind word and smile for everyone she dealt with. I hand write a message on Nan’s Travelbiz Diary every year.

I will make sure that those words are not lost in 2025 as we say goodbye and will mail her copy to her lovely granddaughter Amy, as we remember the beautiful and never forgotten Nan Short.

Rest in Peace my dear friend.
