BizEx TIGS Outing in memory of Paulette Moran shines.
Travel Industry Golf Society played the final game of 2024 at the challenging Castle course in Rathfarnham on Thursday October 3rd and, of course, (dreadful pun) Travelbiz was there (and playing) to bring you all the news. Our Captain, Dave Smith, beamed whilst the sun gleamed on players loping over the lush emerald green fairways and, on occasion, hunkered in the golden bunkers! Generously sponsored by BixEx (Business Exhibitions at Holiday World), the day was extra poignant as Maureen, Edmund, Maria and Shane dedicated the final game to the wonderful memory of much missed Paulette Moran. Paulette was remembered with great affection and her lasting smile, generosity of spirit and amazing efficiency was recalled.
The AGM followed then we enjoyed a superb dinner. Golf was tough on this glorious course in autumnal sunshine, but mood was high and the usual TIGS camaraderie reigned. Victorious on the day was Team Don Shearer, Niall Mc Donnell, Peter O’Hanlon and Carolanne O’Neill. Close on their heels was Team Dave Conlon, Ann Power Tim Dunphy and Gillian Lowry and bringing up the rear was Team Olwen Mc Kinney, Ciaran Mulligan, Jacinta Mc Glynn and Barry Power. Wonderful prizes and even lovely bottles of wine were distributed, so all enjoyed the final 2024 game at TIGS.
