The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) UK & Ireland is bound for Ireland again to connect with travel agents in Dublin on September 18, 2024.

“After last year’s success, we’re really excited to be coming back to Ireland to offer agents the chance to learn about the fantastic destinations, hotels, tours and airlines servicing the Pacific Asia region. It always promises to be a fun and educational event!”, said Betsie Barr, Marketing & Events Manager for PATA UK & Ireland.

The importance of the Irish market to the Pacific Asia region is echoed in a recent Australian Bureau of Statistics report (as of May 2024), revealing year to date arrivals from Ireland at just over 36,000. Compared to the same period in 2019, arrivals from Ireland have increased by 29.2% – which is the third-highest increase of any market to Australia.

Asia continues to be a popular destination among Irish travellers too, notably Thailand who has surpassed pre-covid levels by 136% year on year.

“The roadshow offers agents the chance to enhance their knowledge and stay up-to-date on the latest news and developments”, concluded Barr.

The evening will follow a speed-networking format, providing agents with quality time with each supplier.

There will also be food, drink and the chance to win lots of exciting prizes, including:

  • 10 night hotel prize in Thailand including Samui, Phuket, Khao Sok and Khao Lak
  • 7 night hotel prize in Thailand including Krabi and Khao Lak
  • Shopping vouchers
  • Amazon gift cards
  • Goody bags
  • And champagne!

There will be a mix of suppliers from across the PATA region appealing to agents selling luxury, honeymoons, the Indian Ocean, Asia and Australia.

  • Heritance AARAH, Maldives
  • Kata Group / Beyond Resorts, Thailand
  • SALT Representation (Thailand hotels)
  • Singapore Airlines
  • Singapore Tourism Board
  • South Australian Tourism Commission
  • Tourism Authority of Thailand
  • Minor Hotels
  • more to be confirmed soon!
