68% of Survey Respondents Yet to Book their 2025 Holiday

46% of those are waiting on a good deal, new Click&Go Holidays Survey reveals.

Click&Go Holidays has released their latest travel survey, revealing that while most holidaymakers plan to travel abroad in 2025, the majority have yet to book their trips. Conducted at the end of February, the survey contained insights from 766 responses.

The key finding shows that almost 70% (68%) of those surveyed have not yet booked their 2025 holiday. Nearly half (48%) of respondents said that they are waiting for a good deal, whereas 22% do not feel that they are ready to book. Financial considerations remain a factor for one in ten of those who have delayed their holiday plans.

Sun Holidays are the top choice among those intending to book, with 60% planning a warm weather getaway. The second most popular holiday type in 2025 is the Cruise Holiday, followed by a City Breaks Holiday and a USA Holiday.

The survey also gave further insight into the strong demand for travel in 2025, despite booking delays, with the vast majority (80%) still planning to take a trip this year. The coming months are expected to be busy for travel bookings, as 25% of respondents are preparing to reserve their holiday by the end of March and over a third (36%) looking to secure their plans in April or May.

Paul Hackett, CEO of Click&Go Holidays, said, “It’s clear that consumers are holding back on booking their holidays in the hope that waiting will lead to a better deal. However, we are seeing that bookings from other European countries are continuing as normal so prices are unlikely to fall. This year we did not see the usual January surge, but February sales have been strong. With Easter falling later this year, we expect March to be a particularly busy month for holiday bookings.”
