Inaugural visit by Minister Jack Chambers to Shannon Airport
The Shannon Airport Group welcomed Minister Jack Chambers TD to Shannon Airport, in what was his inaugural visit as Minister of State for the Department of Transport.
The Minister, who was met by Conal Henry (Chair Shannon Airport Group) and Mary Considine (Group CEO) was briefed on the facilities and operations at the airport and activities across the broader Shannon Campus, which he visited prior to his arrival at the airport.

Estonia’s Ambassador to Ireland, Her Excellency Mrs Kairi Kunka, hosted a reception in the Hibernian Club on Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green on February 23rd. H.E. Mrs Kunka spoke passionately of Estonia’s support and solidarity with near neighbour, Ukraine, and it is perhaps no coincidence that the vicious and immoral war in Ukraine is marked one full year this week.
Both the independence of Estonia and tragedy of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle was not lost on anyone. H.E. Mrs Kunka also thanked Ireland for valued empathy and support.
Celebrating Pancake Tuesday with the trade last week, Alana and Erica from team MSC Ireland, made their way to retail partners sharing the delights of what the guys sampled onboard MSC Virtuosa at Jean Philippe Creperie. Not too sure if Erica’s and Alana’s efforts resembled the Jean Philippe Creperie but they certainly tasted great.

Hundreds of great jobs will be on offer this weekend when Dublin Airport operator daa holds a two-day jobs fair for prospective candidates.
The Jobs Fair will take place at the Radisson Hotel, Dublin Airport on Friday 3 March (2pm-5pm) and Saturday 4 March (10am-1pm).
The free-to-attend daa Jobs Fair will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore the many exciting and varied roles that are on offer at Dublin Airport.
Shannon Airport is first Irish airport to take delivery of new electric Medical Response Vehicle.
Shannon Airport has become the first Irish airport to take delivery of an electric Medical Response Vehicle. The vehicle, called ‘Rescue 14’, replaces its diesel-powered model and will be used for emergency medical responses that may arise at the airport. Rescue 14 is designed and built to similar specifications as the National Ambulance Service vehicles and is fully equipped with a defibrillator, stretcher, medication bag, oxygen masks and more.
Cork Airport is pleased to announce that Aer Lingus Regional will commence a new, six-times weekly service to Bristol, UK.
The service, which will commence on 28 April and will be operated by Emerald Airlines on behalf of Aer Lingus Regional, will provide direct connectivity between the South of Ireland and South West UK.
Bristol, a vibrant city with an eclectic mix of culture, history, and entertainment provides superb access to Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, and the wider South West of England.
Non-Stop flights from Dublin to Tel-Aviv commence in March

Finnair is turning 100 in November 2023 and to mark the centenary, the beloved Moomin characters are featured on the livery of two widebody A350 aircraft for the whole year.
Leading characters Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden feature in the special 100 anniversary livery.
