Jacinta (Travelbiz) was privileged to join her Excellency Sra Patricia Cortes, Colombia’s Ambassador to Ireland, for lunch at her splendid residence in Dublin recently. Her beautiful home is a fitting venue to display the wonders and delights that Colombia offers the lucky visitor. A lunch of local delicacies (think empanadas and torta tres leches) in fun company and learning interesting facts about the country, showed true Colombian hospitality.
Dispel any previous notions you might have about Colombia because the country can stand with the best in terms of biodiversity, incredible ecosystem and awesome nature. Colombia claims two great oceans - Atlantic and Pacific - and showcases beaches, vertiginous mountain peaks, Amazonian jungle territory, rainforests, mangroves, desert area, heritage sites, amazing history and architecture.

“Whatever you’re looking for in a holiday, a trip to the Maltese Islands is an unmissable experience for any type of traveller. With so much to see and do, whether you’re a history buff, a night owl, a thrill seeker, or simply a rambler wishing to be amazed by natural splendour, the list of things to do in Malta is endless”.
Just a three and a half hour flight away, you can fly directly to Malta from Dublin or Shannon Airport with Ryanair. You can also book your holiday through a tour operator such as Sunway Travel, Budget Travel and Cassidy Travel along with any Travel agent in Ireland.

Jenny said, “We’re seeing a very positive start to 2023 based on the last few years and are confident that the business will have a year of growth ahead. We’re continuing to see strength in the consumer market with strong pricing, accelerated bookings, and strong onboard revenue spend prior to sailing and while onboard. The number of travellers considering a cruise is the highest it has been in two years and nearing pre-pandemic levels”.
“We’re noticing fly cruise packages continue to be popular amongst our consumer base which is why we’re working even closer with travel agents to leverage our ATOL licence by offering charters to take travellers to our ships”.

There were more sequins than you could shake a spangle at and more glamour than seen on red carpets anywhere! It all kicked off with the ITAA drinks reception in Café en Seine on Dublin’s Dawson Street where Prosecco flowed and the ladies graced us with stunning evening gowns (strapless, feather boas, sheaths, satin and velvet much in evidence) and the gentlemen stepped up to the fashion plate with terrific tuxedos and snow-white pleated shirts. Off to the iconic Mansion House where the party was all ready to explode with excitement. The atmosphere was electric and the mood euphoric. Glittering table settings, romantic candlelight and shimmering chandeliers set the scene for a night to remember.
