Enda departing Emirates

#TRAVELTRADETOGETHER
Breaking news this week as we learned of the imminent departure of Enda Corneille as Country Manager for Emirates after eight very successful and at times challenging years. Enda spoke to Don Shearer (Travelbiz) following his announcement and made it very clear that he is taking time out when he departs his role in October to take stock and decide upon the next chapter in his career. It was not an easy decision for Enda to make but feels he is leaving at the right time having managed the brand and business in Ireland through the toughest two years in our Industry and leaves now with a full restoration of the double daily service with Emirates to Dubai from Dublin.

The Terry Fox run Ireland will raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and further information and registration is available.

Air Canada is proud to be supporting the 5km Terry Fox Run Ireland on Saturday 17th September in Herbert Park Dublin and to help encourage people to take part, every entry into the run will be entered into a draw to win a pair of Air Canada tickets to Canada. The 5km route can be run or walked and is non-competitive. Think of a family fun run. Terry Fox was a young Canadian man who in 1980, following a leg amputation for bone cancer decided to run a Marathon of Hope across Canada to raise funds for Cancer research.

American Football came to town last weekend and what a show they put on! The Northwestern Wildcats and the Nebraska Cornhuskers played their opening game of the 2022 season in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, in front of a crowd of over 40,000 fans. The atmosphere was electric. Nebraska were favourites to win and led most of the game but Northwestern just edged it with the final score 31 - 28.
