Riviera Travel launches ‘Free Deck Upgrade’ offer to support trade amid strong 2026 river cruise demand
Riviera Travel has unveiled a new campaign offering agents an enhanced selling opportunity, as demand for 2026 river cruise departures continues to accelerate.
The “Free Deck Upgrade” promotion enables customers to book an upper deck cabin for the price of a middle deck cabin on selected October 2026 European river cruise departures. The offer is available for bookings made between 2 June and 30 July 2026, and applies across a range of itineraries including the Danube, Rhine, Douro and Seine.

Launched in response to strong demand for 2026 river cruises, the campaign has been designed to help agents capitalise on momentum and convert enquiries with a clear, value-led proposition.
Upper deck cabins remain among the most in-demand across Riviera Travel’s fleet, thanks to their elevated position and floor-to-ceiling windows offering uninterrupted views, a key driver for customers when choosing a river cruise.
By removing the price differential between middle and upper deck cabins, Riviera is addressing a common booking barrier and giving agents a compelling reason to close sales.
The offer is valid on selected October 2026 departures, a key selling period combining mild weather, fewer crowds and scenic autumn landscapes across Europe’s rivers.

Carrie Day, Country Manager for Ireland at Riviera Travel, said:
“We’re seeing incredibly strong demand for 2026 river cruises, with customers booking earlier than ever and agents playing a crucial role in driving that momentum. This campaign has been developed specifically to support our trade partners in converting that demand into bookings.
Upper deck cabins are always among our most popular, so giving agents the ability to offer that experience at exceptional value is a powerful selling tool. It’s about helping our partners stand out, close sales with confidence and make the most of every enquiry.”
The promotion applies to standard cabins only, excludes suites, and is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
