This year’s conference theme of ‘A Future Without Limits’ inspired great team building events, which helped the attendees grow personally and professionally as well as providing lots of fun for everyone.

One of the popular sponsors, G Adventures, provided lots of entertainment for the Travel Counsellor’s in the form of a murder mystery hunt around the grounds of the beautiful Powerscourt Hotel.

John Grehan from G Adventures told us that he loves attending the conference as it’s such a great opportunity to enrich the knowledge and connect with the Travel Counsellors who he sees as passionate individual business owners.

TC’s Mandy Walsh and Sinead Lonergan How Mandy Walsh creates a work life balance with Travel Counsellors

Here’s what Mandy Walsh TC had to say about Travel Counsellors and about finding a work/life balance that works for her.

Michelle and Gearóid Mannion How life has changed for me since closing my own agency

Almost two years ago Gearóid Mannion made the life-changing decision to close his family travel agency after over 50 years trading, so that he could run his business in a different way. Becoming a Travel Counsellor enabled him to do just that. Gearóid says it is “the best thing that he ever did.” With his overheads cut, access to modern booking technology, and an incredible amount of support from the Travel Counsellor’s global team, the pressure of running his own business has reduced dramatically. He can be more selective with his time, giving each client “a more personal service than ever before”; all with the added bonus of more flexibility and a great work life balance.
