Shortest route between Europe & Asia

Flying from Dublin Airport via Helsinki with Finnair offers the geographically shortest route, smooth and uncongested transits, and straighter flights that generate fewer emissions between more than 70 European destinations and 17 Asian megacities.

The travel time with Finnair from Dublin Airport to Hong Kong is 13hrs 25 mins, Dublin to Tokyo is 14hr 30 mins, Dublin to Beijing is 13hrs 30 mins to mention but a few saving passengers between four to five hours on other airlines connections from Dublin Airport.

Finnair flies to six destinations in China: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Xian and Guangzhou, four destinations in Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka (27/4/17-28/10/17). Finnair also fly to Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok and Delhi. Finnair fly direct to Krabi Phuket and Goa (new service) in the Winter season (Nov-Mar).

The gate number of your connecting flight will be displayed on the airport monitors, but you can also ask at the Transfer Service Desks for further assistance which are located near gates 24 and 32A.

A350 Finnair

Finnair is the first European airline to operate the new Airbus A350 XWB airplane and we have ordered total 19 of them.   The Airbus A350 XWB features an extra wide cabin with more room and more light from bigger windows.    With new engines and lighter fuselage than previous generations’ airplanes, the A350 creates as much as 25% less CO2 emissions and is also more quiet in and outside of the cabin than any other aircraft of its size and generation.


Finnair A350 has 297 seats:

  • 46 Business Class seats, Zodiac Cirrus III seat in “herringbone layout”
  • 43 Economy Comfort seats, Zodiac Z300 slim-line seat with 35” pitch, better headrest and headphones & amenity kit
  • 208 Economy Class seats, Zodiac Z300 slim-line seat with 31”-32” pitch


Wi-Fi and a new wireless entertainment system as well as the traditional seatback entertainment system with 16” screen in Business Class and 11” screen in Economy Class.

Advanced air conditioning changes air inside the cabin every 2-3 minutes

Cabin design for Finnair’s A350 aircraft has been done by dSign Vertti Kivi and has already won the International Yacht & Aviation Award for both the Business and Economy Class interior design.
