American Airlines 2020 Update

American Airlines and American Eagle offer an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries. American has hubs in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C.

American was awarded the Apex Five Star Global Airline for the 2nd year in a row in 2019.

Product News

All of the 4 Dublin services will feature 3 class cabins: Flagship Business, Premium Economy and Main Cabin.

Award winning Flagship Business offers lie-flat seats all aisle access. Personal inflight Entertainment with Bang & Olulfsen headsets. Premium dining & Beverage.

Premium Economy offers 21 seats per aircraft. Booking class P, W.

Main Cabin includes Main Cabin Extra seats offering extra legroom.

Complimentary meals and alcoholic beverages served onboard all International flights in all cabins.

Excellent Wi-Fi available on all aircraft.

First class cabin available on selected LHR departures including JFK & MIA services.

American Airlines Leader in Technology

In 2019 we launched a one-step facial recognition program at Los Angeles & Dallas reducing boarding time at our Gates.

Launched passport scanning in its mobile app. This allows customers to head directly to the gate for international flights without having their passports rechecked by a customer service agent.

High-speed realiable Wi-Fi is available on all aircraft, allowing customers to stream movies and TV shows.
American offer free live TV on 270 aircraft including transatlantic.

The American App has been recognized as one of the most user friendly and please encourage your customers to download the American Airlines App when travelling to get real time information and choice on their journey. The options available include flight disruption notices, re-accommodation options and pre-order options.

At American Airlines, we know that global business comes with global responsibility. We recognize that air travel impacts the environment, and we are committed to proactively minimizing those impacts through sustainability efforts.  Now and in the future, American Airlines aims to be a leader in sustainability.

We’re committed to proactively minimizing the environmental impacts of air travel in a number of ways, and we are continually putting pieces into place to build on our sustainability efforts. Here are a few key initiatives:

  • Fleet Renewal: We have taken delivery of more than 500 aircraft and retired virtually the same number, giving American the youngest fleet of any U.S. network carrier. Many of our new aircraft are up to 40 percent more efficient than the aircraft they replace.
  • Fuel Smart Program: Our team-member led program focuses on operational efforts such as reducing axillary power unit (APU) use, washing engines, and encouraging single-engine taxi when practical.
  • Other efforts involve reducing Waste & goal on renewable energy and sustainable jet fuels.

This is just a snapshot of what we’re doing to take care of our environment, just as we take care of people on life’s journey each and every day.

In 2019 Corporate clients benefits were enhanced to recognize and prioritize our corporate travellers across our Atlantic Joint Business partners on each carrier’s Prime flights, British Airways, Finnair and Iberia, helping to upgrade business travel around the world offering: access to complimentary preferred seats, priority boarding, priority service disruption recovery, upgrade prioritization and downgrade protection.
