The miniature gem of Rhode Island in the US was feted in the stylish surrounds of The Shelbourne Hotel. Patricia Purdue (Marketing Consultant Rhode Island) was joined by Tony Lane (Woodstock Communications) and Joanne Campbell (PR Account Executive Discover New England) to host an exclusive media luncheon and Jacinta Mc Glynn (Senior Reporter Travelbiz) was delighted to attend.
Rhode Island (which this fan has already had the pleasure of visiting) is a little jewel on the US map. Affectionately known as the Ocean State, Rhode Island has immense charm and huge attractions, which belie its tiny size. Swathes of sandy beach, quaint towns, Colonial mansions, the international sailing culture of Newport (think the America’s Cup), an arts & crafts tradition and wonderful dining options are only a few reasons to get your little body to visit Rhode Island. The Rhode Island marketing team in Dublin are strong supporters of all things American and stand over the charm of the smallest State in the Union. With so many flights connecting Ireland to American soil, it would be a scandal to miss out on Rhode Island. Norwegian Airlines now fly 5 times weekly from Dublin into TF Green Airport Providence and will increase to daily flights in 2019. Shannon and Cork are also well serviced. TF Green Airport is a shell’s throw from Providence (15 minute transfer) which is the flap of a gull’s wing away from the delights of the entire State. Rhode Island proves that size doesn’t matter!
