Ethiopian Airlines, often referred to as “The New Spirit of Africa”, hosted Declan Mescall (Features Editor Travelbiz) on their service to Durban via Addis Ababa to attend the Tourism KwaZulu-Natal educational in the South African province.   Hard working Michael Yohannes (Country Manager Ireland Ethiopian Airlines) was at the airline’s Dublin Airport departure gate making sure all the ground handling operations were operating as planned.   With year-round flights three times weekly from Dublin direct to Addis Ababa, onward connections to over 50 destinations in Africa and 20 domestic destinations in Ethiopia, Ethiopian serves a network of 113 passenger destinations and flies to more destinations on the continent of Africa than any other airline.   On this Boeing 787-8 jet Dreamliner aircraft the Business Class offering on Ethiopian is called “Cloud Nine” and Declan says he certainly felt on cloud nine as he enjoyed the excellent and attentive onboard service and hospitality while able to catch 90 winks on the very comfortable lie-flat seat.
