Role Purpose

This role, part of the Commercial team is all about driving results for Emirates Holidays within Ireland and Northern Ireland. You’ll do this by driving sales opportunities through both our Trade partners and direct channels, by constantly seeking out new opportunities to build upon the performance of Emirates Holidays in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

This role will be home based but with regular visits to our key Trade partners across Ireland and Northern Ireland.  We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm and drive to deliver amazing service and exceptional results, and you’ll need to be flexible, innovative and passionate and be able to work both in a team and individually.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Sales & Commercial Executive – Ireland and Northern Ireland Conduct regular ‘on the road’ shop visits to all key trade partners to promote the latest offers and services available from Emirates Holidays.

Attend and conduct training events to showcase the best of Emirates Holidays.

Monitor the performance of all channels in the territory, providing regular reports & updates, including SWOT analysis and recommended actions to European Head office in Kingston, with monthly visits to Kingston to present to senior management.

Act as the day to day commercial contact for all trade partners, gaining market intelligence and uncovering all possible opportunities to drive results.

Build and drive performance with sales incentives as appropriate and monitor the performance of those accordingly, reporting all results back to senior management.

Represent Emirates Holidays at conferences, trade shows and relevant events, reporting back key outcomes of such attendance to the wider European team.

Identify new customer segments to target both through trade and direct channels.

Produce a weekly competitor analysis report, summarising market trends, including (but not limited to) competitor product curation, offers & pricing, industry news and updates, identifying threats and  opportunities for the business across all direct & trade channels.

Enhance the commercial performance through all channels including on and off line for both direct and trade, providing localised direction to head office regarding product, promotion and pricing strategies.

Investigate & Analyse trade and tourist board partnership marketing opportunities in Ireland to drive direct incremental business

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies:

A brilliant communicator & presenter (both verbal & written) with proven persuasive and influencing skills.

A proven track record in sales, with strong negotiation skills.

A relationship builder with all sorts of different people.

Someone who is really interested in customers and understands the importance of exceeding our customer’s expectations.

An expert in areas they have visited and can share that knowledge with our customers and colleagues.

Self-motivated and self-organised to manage own workloads to achieve performance & business targets.

Someone who wants to keep developing and able to take accountability for their own learning.

Positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.

A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different people, customers, challenges and ways of working.

Ability to really listen to the customer, quickly identify their needs and think ahead to anticipate them.

Excellent attention to detail and understands the impact of errors on the business and customer.

Someone that can think analytically & commercially and take responsibility for their own result, always striving to do better.


Someone who’s proactive and a trend spotter and is confident in feeding back their findings to the business to drive improvement.

IT literate and quick to learn. Experienced user of Excel and PowerPoint is preferential.

Flexibility to work outside of office hours when required, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
